Case Study: 75 to 370 Access Points for 21st Century Learning

Birmingham Community Charter High School in Van Nuys boasts the largest campus in the Los Angeles Unified School System. Since the school was granted its charter in 2009, BCCHS has undergone an extensive upgrade to its wired and wireless network and built a modern, secure, virtualized cloud data-center to support student learning. And on every step of this journey, Datalink Networks has been their partner.

Wireless Network Expansion

The wireless network upgrade was necessitated by federal and state directives that emphasize the use of online technologies. BCCHS is one of many area schools that has adopted a One-to-One technology learning initiative, to ensure that every student has access to at least one internet-connected device – any time, any place on campus.

Case Study: Successful Data Center Migration and Refresh

The newly-hired IT Director at the California Community Foundation knew the organization needed a data center refresh, as its aging network’s reliance on a third-party hosting company had become too expensive and too limited. He partnered with Datalink Networks to design and engineer a new, hybrid cloud infrastructure that will scale with CCF for years to come.

The California Community Foundation (CCF) has served Los Angeles County for 100 years, stewarding nearly 1,600 funds and $1.7 billion in assets to address some of the core concerns of the community. CCF sponsors a range of competitive grants to other local non-profits in arts, education, health care, and transition-aged youth and housing and economic development throughout Los Angeles County.

Case Study: Datalink Networks and Microsoft Lync

Several weeks ago, we highlighted a Hewlett Packard case study of our client, Carmichael International, which details how we saved their Southern California company tens of thousands of dollars: by upgrading their old network utilizing Cisco routers, to a modern network including Microsoft Lync and HP Networking components.

And now, we’re proud to announce that HP has published another case study focused on Datalink Networks – only this time, the subject is US… and how our company has led the charge in introducing Microsoft Lync to our customers throughout Southern California.

Network Redesign and UC&C Upgrade Don’t Have to Cost a Fortune

When Enrico Salvo founded Carmichael International Service (CIS) in the early 1960s’s, the Port of Los Angeles was well on its way to becoming one of the nation’s busiest seaports. Salvo – along with his two sons – is still at the helm of the customs brokerage company he founded 53 years ago, managing 245 employees in 13 offices around the United States.

As the company grew, so did their data requirements.

“We reached out to Datalink Networks to completely redesign the whole network,” says CIS co-President Vincent Salvo.
